About Us

NIRA Consulting Engineers, Inc., founded in 1975, and its architectural subsidiary NIRA Associates, Inc., is a progressive consulting firm based in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.  The Corporation was founded in the belief that excellence and client satisfaction demands that all projects be under the direct supervision of at least one of the principals of the firm.  It was further believed that these objectives could best be realized through a mid-sized firm, staffed with highly skilled and experienced professionals.  The development of this concept anticipates a gradual, systematic, and long term investment in staff and facilities and continued technical involvement of the Corporate founders.

The foresight of this concept proved to be sound and accurate, as NIRA has experienced a steady and controlled growth.  The singular goal for engineering excellence, experience, and knowledge of the needs of our clients has allowed the firm to grow and prosper in less than ideal economical times.

As a result of dedicating resources and energies to build a multidiscipline consulting firm, the staff at NIRA has developed extensive experience in the Architectural, Civil, Environmental, Structural, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Planning Disciplines.

At NIRA, our success is based on our concern for professionalism, the demand for high standards, and the satisfaction of each client’s objectives.  We believe that the client is entitled to the highest return possible for his investment in technical expertise.

Our firm consists of thirty (31) employees including six (6) Professional Engineers [includes one (1) Registered Geologist], four (4) Engineers in Training, one (1) Registered Architect, and two (2) Registered Surveyors.
